This is a total long-shot, but I had to mention it.

Historically, anything that happened on the 12th of the month was
potentially a date format issue somewhere in the code tree.

The 12th of the month is the last day on which a date can be ambiguously
interpreted as either British or US format.

Granted, this is a long shot, but it is the first thing that springs to
my mind whenever anyone mentions the 12th or 13th of a month being a
problem. To investigate I would scour the log files for entries with
date stamps written the wrong way around. It could be as simple as a
server being set to american format dates somewhere. (It would only take
one.)

Subject: RE: Warehouse not running

Hi,

I'm getting a somewhat related problem.

Each month, on the 12th of the month, the warehouse stops updating
itself - the workitems are still in the workitems db, but the warehouse
itself just seems to stop retrieving it's data.

Afaik there's nothing in the event logs to suggest something is failing
- users aren't being locked out - services aren't being stopped..it
just...stops and all reports fall behind.

I have to manually run the web service and set the interval that it's
updated with on the server to kick start it once more.

Anybody have any ideas as to why this is a reoccurring problem for us?
And why does it keep happening on the 12th?

Subject: Warehouse not running

Hello

Our TFS warehouse does not run. The admin has disabled the
scheduler service (not sure if that is responsible for running the
warehouse). Now, I do know that setupwarehouse cmd will rebuild the OLAP
cubes and I am hoping that I can revive the warehouse and get our
reports to function. The question is, how long does it take to rebuild
the cubes and is it best done over a weekend or does it take longer than
that? I ran the setupwarehouse on my vpc and it did not take long ( I
dont have much data in there). But the production instance of the TFS
has a lot of data.

Thanks

Deepak
