It might be out of left field here, but you could try
"Domain\TFSServername$" instead of "NT Authority\Network Service"

I think from memory we needed it running as that for authentication to
work on the SQL server side. That might be listed as a valid account.

Subject: RE: Can you run SSRS 2005 with NETWORK SERVICE account under
TFS2008?

All,

I've found out that you can run the following command to change the SSRS
account from the old account to the new account.

TFSAdminUtil ChangeAccount /ra Domain\OldAccount "NT Authority\Network
Service"

The problem is that this command is now reporting an error on the "NT
Authority\Network Service" account, saying that it doesn't exist.

I looked at the following post which says to remove the space between
Network and Service so it should now read:

TFSAdminUtil ChangeAccount /ra Domain\OldAccount "NT
Authority\NetworkService"

but I have been told by the person running this command (an external
support desk that I have no access to) that it is still saying that the
account is not a valid account.

Does anyone know what the problem may be?

Cheers,

Subject: Can you run SSRS 2005 with NETWORK SERVICE account under
TFS2008?

Hi,

We have just had TFS 2008 installed as a single server with SQL Server
2005 and have used the standard domain accounts as recommended in the
TFS Installation guide.

Due to the client security requirements, we have now been asked to
change the SQL Server Reporting Services domain account to run as a
local service account, preferable NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE, as they
don't want this account to have "Log on locally" permissions and the
account can't have a password that expires (and all user accounts with
log on locally must have a password expiry set).

My questions is in two parts:

1) Can you run SSRS as such an account without it impacting on TSF?

2) How can you update the installation and configuration of SSRS without
reinstalling TFS? I don't believe I can use the TFSAdminUtil tool as I
don't want to rename all service accounts, just the SSRS one.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Cheers,
