Yes, Application Tier is x64 and your data tier can run SQL x64 as well. All works very well.

Also, what are the thoughts around installing TFS 2010 with SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2008 R2? Are there any hang-ups with SSRS, TFS SharePoint features, etc?
