B3 Aggregator is a great tool for defining aggregates of (subsets of) p2
repositories. The main purpose however is to verify and build the aggregate (be
it as a pure composite p2 repo, partly mirrored artifacts, or fully mirrored).
I used to leverage the browsing capabilities which comes with the B3 Editor,
but this is really limited. I switched to p2browser for any kind of non-trivial
search or dependency analysis task (e.g. show me all IUs which depend on a
given IU).
It would be handy to have all p2browser capabilities within the B3 editor, but
I understand that B3 is really focusing on the build use case ...

Has anyone looked at the b3 aggregator? The aggregation editor contains a
browser where you can browse products, features, and bundles. All the way down
to the nitty gritty bits of the installable units (properties, requirements).
It also has some searching capabilities.

So do I. Would be great if someone is planning to do something similar to

Scott,

I'm actually working on a p2grep tool (just for fun). I'll ping you when I push
it to GitHub. I have a ferry ride tomorrow, so hopefully I can use that time to
finish it off.

cheers,

There used to be the p2 admin app, but I'm not sure what state it is in these
days so you would most likely have to build it from source.

There is also Igor's p2 browser app but I've never used it myself

Hi p2ers,

Are there any p2 repository search/analysis/report tools available for

p2? e.g. something where you could easily define and submit simple

queries on one or more repositories?

Thanks,

Scott
