on any modern wifi chipset, the answer is yes. for older cards (prism2, hermes, etc) this capability is walled off in the device firmware, and thus probably not available unless you can find a tertiary firmware that provides an interface to such capabilities.
How much can a device driver control the wireless network card? Can it control transmissions per packet basis?
