Yes. media stream is handled by p2p connection directly (bitorrent network
in my mind).

If, as Dave mentioned (I have no idea/experience on that), a server can
handle 100K tcp or udp links, it seems C/S for hole punching can be a
practical choice even for a large network. Originally I was thinking a ring
(DHT, Kademlia) or tree of supernodes to spread the load I thought I'd have
to. There is a lot of not-so-funny coding needed for that.
