I don't know where you got this one from (we never did it exactly like the above, and variations of the above were used *years* ago). The current GNUnet URI scheme for files in GNUnet's file-sharing subsystem is: gnunet://fs/chk/HASH1.HASH2.SIZE other GNUnet subsystems use other URIs starting also with "gnunet://". There is a general-purpose URI handler program (gnunet-uri) which can be called with any GNUnet URI to trigger the appropriate action. You are right in that we did not register the "gnunet;//" prefix, this is however more of a problem of finding the time to do it properly. Also, I don't see the need to combine the question of TLDs and URI registrations, except that of course we (as in, the GNUnet project) _plan_ to do register all of those that we use _eventually_. Note that we do have registrations for our default port and IPv6 multicast address already, so we're certainly not totally ignorant of the processes ;-). Happy hacking!
