ActiveState isn't really selling a "better perl". Aside from add-on products, 
they're folding everything back into Perl.

The strength of Perl is precisely that multiple vendors (or hackers) are 
"competing" to produce one single better product, which runs pretty much the 
same everywhere. Less energy is wasted, better portability achieved.

(eek ! I'm starting to sound like I'm already writing the glossy brochure...)
