There still a leftover from the previous license installation: # Put the license file in place. mkdir -p $RPM_BUILD_ROOT/%{_docdir}/%{name}-%{version}/ Regarding the rpmlint output note that it issues a warning and not an error, and as you stated in this case _exit_ should really be there so we can ignore rpmlint in this case.
