I need some guidance here. :-)

Rui is amazingly reactive and has fixed the aforementioned issue.
Unfortunately, the resulting two upstream patches are not easy to backport
because a fair amount of refactoring has happened since 1.0.1.

How should we deal with this situation?
a) Move forward to a Git snapshot.
b) Stay with 1.0.1 for now, accepting that mold won't be available on epel8
x86_64 until 1.0.2.
c) Invest effort into backporting the fix - Debian/RHEL-style, as it were.
