The use of the compat- namespace is pretty clearly documented in Fedora. It is
for old sonames of libraries needed to keep applications running. And even
there, it is mostly deprecated in favor of just using a version number suffix.
Using this for X11 support packages for the latest version of Plasma available
in Fedora (possibly even the latest upstream version) would be really confusing
to users.
