To complete François' answer, the history of connectivity is per MAC 
address and nothing is affected when someone is unregistered. When using 
802.1X (wired or wireless) the username is also present in this table 
(locationlog). I'm pretty sure that it does what you expect. Its a 
linear log of all connections.

Now on the node information (node view), what happens is that we change 
the status from 'reg' to 'unreg' and the rest is all kept. So, unless 
the PC changes hands you can still see who has been accessing the 
network in the past even if it has unregistered. That is, unless someone 
else re-registered with a different username.

If all else fails you can always go and grep the logs (if you keep them).
