Hi Jake... For Radius - yes, no problem if all your users are located on another centralize repository and you use radius to authenticate them against this one... ( aka: radius to AD for example )
For MySQL - not recommended since you will need to dedicate two or more servers for that kind of master/master scenario... SNMP : not recommended : simply because you don't want to receive one snmp trap in two different location for the same event ( example: cisco switches can send more than 10 traps just for one event... ) DHCP : not recommended... have you ever successfully load balance some dhcp requests ? not me !! http for admin console/registration/isolation: not recommended since apache his hooked with the PF process... ( example: for monitoring / process status page ) so really, the best solution with PF is to dedicate 2 servers in a master / slave type of redundancy scenario... and basically, 2 dedicated servers with mysql/pf and all the others process can handles a lot's of users ! ( 10k users and much more depending on HD/io and ram / cpu ) M-A Le 11-05-03 14:04, Sallee, Stephen (Jake) a écrit : >> Yes, you can run PF with MySQL and Radius on one server in a kind of >> master/slave type of redundancy scenario... > Thanks for the info! > > Can I run the 2 servers in a load balanced scenario?
