Are there any steps suggested for dealing with the MySQL database errors
relating to Bug #1096, and the log entry:
WARN: database query failed with: MySQL server has gone away. (errno:
2006), will try again (pf::db::db_query_execute)
I have already updated my.cnf with higher settings to handling more
connections, etc. But I was wondering if there was anything else I could
do, or information/troubleshooting I can facilitate to solve the issue.
I have a custom installed PacketFence system served from a ESXi v4
environment. I don't see there error a lot, but I am adding
switches/ports to the system each day and I am concerned about reaching
threshold at which point the error will start to cause a problem.
