Hi, So far it seems to work, but I still need to do more intensive testing. I only saw problem when PF is trying to instruct Switch to change VLAN on a port (I guess this is SNMP problem).
My Cisco has firmware version 12.2(58)SE2. I think it's not firmware related. As described in network devices configuration, ifindex of Gi0/1…Gi0/48 -> 10101…10148 while Fa0/1…Fa0/48 -> 10001…10048. 2960 has most of ports Fa and only few Gi, while 2960G is all Gi (see snmpwalk below) # snmpwalk -v2c -c public 10.0.10.10 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1 IF-MIB::ifIndex.1 = INTEGER: 1 IF-MIB::ifIndex.2 = INTEGER: 2 IF-MIB::ifIndex.3 = INTEGER: 3 IF-MIB::ifIndex.4 = INTEGER: 4 Let us know if that module work for you. If it's the case, we will create a 2960G that implements the proper port translation. Also, what IOS do you run on the 2960G? I'm thinking it could be related to an IOS change and not hardware revision. -- Olivier Bilodeau [email protected] :: +1.514.447.4918 *115 :: www.inverse.ca Inverse inc. :: Leaders behind SOGo (www.sogo.nu) and PacketFence (www.packetfence.org) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
