Thanks Mark,

I have read that document and am mostly ok there. I am just having a problem
getting the project going past initial installation. Maybe you can give me a
little guidance?

I read earlier that I should only have 2 NICs, so
        1. NIC 1 is Management only?
        2. NIC 2 has VLAN 10 IP 192.168.1.1 for Registration
VLAN 20 IP 192.168.2.1 for Isolation
VLAN 30 IP 192.168.3.1 for Other ???????? Other like
what? BYOD?
Can I have other "Other"s for company assets? Maybe
VLAN 40, 50, and 60?

Is NIC2 plugged into the switch or is it only used for internal web
pages?

On the switch, if NIC 1 is plugged into port 1, it would be untagged. If NIC 2
is plugged into port 2, is it tagged?

>From the trapping Tab, should the Trapping range be the range of the BYOD
>network and any other Network I want going through the PF?

>From the Registration Tab, should the Registration Range be the registration
>subnet(192.168.2.0/24)

I do have the manual printed and open, the PDF of same open on my screen, and
searching the Internet so I am referencing everything, I am just not finding
everything I need. Or at least I am not understanding it.

Anything you can add to help get me off the ground is greatly appreciated.

Steve

Hi Steve,

Which model of HP switch are you using?

Have a look at

http://www.packetfence.org/downloads/PacketFence/doc/PacketFence_Network_Devices_Configuration_Guide-4.0.1.pdf

That document will tell you which methods your switch will support and how to
configure it to communicate with PF.

Mark
