Hi Jason,
I plugged in with another laptop and the vlan of the switch was changed
this time.
Below is the configure of the switch port before I plugged in another
laptop.
interface FastEthernet0/1
switchport access vlan 4
switchport mode access
switchport port-security maximum 2
switchport port-security maximum 1 vlan access
switchport port-security
switchport port-security violation restrict
switchport port-security mac-address 0200.0001.0001
!
After plugging in with another laptop the port learn the mac address.
interface FastEthernet0/1
switchport access vlan 4
switchport mode access
switchport port-security maximum 2
switchport port-security maximum 1 vlan access
switchport port-security
switchport port-security violation restrict
switchport port-security mac-address 0015.c5cf.0f12
!
I don't understand why when plugged in with the old laptop switch port
wasn't changed and it worked with the new one.
Now I am having another problem. I will be opening a new thread.
