You'll find that Cisco allows a large number of odd combinations when it
comes to supported/unsupported configurations.  Some of the better ones
are commands that it will accept, and show in the configuration, but
that actually have no effect because they're not supported on that hardware.

Probably because either no one tried it, or no one confirmed it worked.
 So if you're confirming it, and you're willing to put together a blurb
on what, if anything, is different from other configurations, I'm sure
the Inverse crew would be happy to add it to the config guide.
