Hello,

1. I am about to purchase 5-10 WAPs to add to our network running
packetfence with VLAN enforcement. I've looked at the list of supported WAPs
and was wondering if anyone could give their opinion on which manufactures or
models that have worked well with packetfence.

2. I've read that packetfence now supports OpenWRT running on APs like
the Linksys WRT54GL (low cost), how difficult is it to configure these types of
access points vs. the APs that are on the supported WAPs list like the Aironet
1130 AG, 1140 AG, and 1250 (are these the only Aironet models that work?)

3. Forgive my noob question but I couldn't figure this out: am I correct
in saying that in the documentation under configurations by example, the
default source of authenticating users who create a new account on the captive
portal is via Email and that account gets stored in packetfence's local SQL
database? Is it possible to do wireless integration with VLAN enforcement using
radius against packetfence's internal database? Are other sources of
authentication required to enable 802.1x? What are the basic requirements for
integrating wireless in an environment in which users must be allowed to self
register?

If anyone can help me by answering these questions I'd greatly appreciate it.

Very Respectfully,
Jason
