Hi Tim,
On our Debian 7 / pf 4.3.0 server, the upgrade did not work out-the-box also.
Actually we had to :
* Clear the /usr/local/pf/var/cache folder
* Upgrade the database
* Try apt-get upgrade -> had some perl compilation error
* purge /usr/local/pf files (ie : removing the packetfence package)
* reboot the server (to clear the
* install the package with apt-get install
Then it worked correctly
We suspect that it would have been enough to stop pf services, wait a few
minutes to make sure the memory to be freed, then proceed with the upgrade, but
we will try that next time.
