Thanks a lot!  After application of the patches, the exception does not appear 
anymore, and the users are able to access the network. However, they still see 
for a few seconds message "Cannot detect network connectivity" before being 
redirected to the target URL.
How can I get rid of this?

I have enabled "Network detection" in the captive portal configuration and the 
IP address is set to the internal IP of the packetfence server. Should this be 
changed to  some other address?
