Hi,

I’ve just installed pfence ZEN 5.4.0 in out-of-band mode and I’m pretty
happy how well it works.

It’s a simple setup with just using management interface (VLAN 1),
registration interface (VLAN 200) and production interface (VLAN 100).

So far so good. But once registered nodes get assigned to VLAN 100 I can’t
get track of the assigned IP addresses anymore.

I’ve follow the Administration Guide published in the website, specifically
the chapter “Production DHCP access”, method “Interface in every VLAN” in
page 59-60.

Following the instructions, I’ve created the new interface (corresponding to
VLAN100) in Configuration -> Interfaces.

I’ve assigned profile “Other” when configuring the interface in pfence.

After that, I’ve modified /usr/local/pf/conf/pf.conf as follows:

[interface eht0.100]

mask=255.255.255.0

type=dhcp-listener

ip=192.168.100.1

I’ve rebooted, but I just got dhcplister to work for the management
interface (eth0) and the registration interface (eth0.200).

I’ve performed a quick search in the mailinglist archive, but haven’t found
the answer.

Could someone give me a hint?

Thanks,
