Hello,
I've just upgraded from 4.7 to 5.6.1 and worked through all the upgrade
doc, fixed all my violation syntax, upgraded the db schema incrementally
from 4.7 to 5.0 to 5.1 to 5.2 blah blah all the way to 5.6, added the db
credentials to pfconf.conf, and generally gotten the thing working again,
but I see that the accounting sections of the packetfence server and
packetfence-tunnel servers are now using sql accounting whereas the 4.x
series did not. This is causing me some trouble that I need some help
working out, if I leave the "sql" and "packetfence" statements enabled in
/usr/local/pf/conf/radiusd/packetfence
I receive a onslaught of messages like these:

in my radius.log, and utilization on the db and on the pf server gets
pretty high and I end up getting user complaints of having to retry logging
in to the wifi repeatedly to gain access.
Any hints on what I may have missed in my upgrade or what to do to fix this
accounting issue? For now I've just disabled accounting all together in
/usr/local/pf/conf/radiusd/packetfence
by remming out the "sql" and "packetfence" statements.
Incidentally, I was initially also experiencing the issues detailed in bug
1169 with the acct_stop and acct_update stored procedures and replaced them
according to the patch, which did resolve those acct_stop and acct_update
errors, but now I'm faced with these similar errors. Little help please!
