I have never had to disable any CentOS repos during installation.

You can take a backup of the database and restore it on another server using 
either straight mysqldump or the addons/database-backup-and-maintenance.sh 
script.
Or you could just stop mariadb and copy the whole /var/lib/mysql directory.
