Ok, so I've done some more debugging.  Yes, I'm getting the proper DNS
response, but I was getting connection refused on ports 80 and 443.
After some more debugging, it appears that was because haproxy wasn't
running.  Don't know why.  Starting that resolved the problem.

So, it looks like I have portal, mab, and 802.1x running right now.  :)
