Hey there,
So I tried installing on Debian Stretch (Debian 9) yesterday, and got all
sorts of nasty errors RE: unmet dependencies, a lot like what happened in
this closed Github issue:
https://github.com/inverse-inc/packetfence/issues/1462 . As far as I am
aware, Debian 8 has been superseded by 9, and as such probably isn't the
best thing to run on.
Keep in mind I am a complete noob when it comes to Packetfence, and as far
as I can tell there are only supported repos for Wheezy and Jessie, not
Stretch. With that in mind, I have a few quick questions:
1.) Is there planned support for Stretch in the works?
2.) Have any of you gotten Packetfence running on Stretch from the
Wheezy/Jessie repos? If so, any tips?
3.) Are there any guides or insights for building Packetfence from source
that you all are aware of?
4.) Is there any sort of plan to move towards Snap or Flatpak?
Thanks,
Rusty
