Hello,

We are testing the upgrade of our 3 node PF cluster from v8.2 to v9.1. All
seems to work ok following the upgrade but have a couple of warnings /errors:

a) during startup we see a warning about an invalid parameter in the default
profile
<snip>
Checking configuration sanity...
WARNING - invalid parameter device_registration for profile default
packetfence-api-frontend.service                        started   6877
<snip>

Not sure what config file we should be looking at the see why that is happening?

b) Pfstats.log (on all 3 cluster members) is filled with errors complaining
that the pf.violation table does not exist:

Nov 18 12:10:21 blahblahtestpf2 pfstats[2105]: t=2019-11-18T12:10:21+0000
lvl=eror msg="Error while performing SQL query: Error 1932: Table
'pf.violation' doesn't exist in engine" pid=2105

I think this is related to the “violation” table being renamed to
“security_event” as part of the upgrade to v9.1
On an example cluster member we can see that the violation table does not exist
anymore but security_event does:

MariaDB [pf]> desc violation
    -> ;
ERROR 1146 (42S02): Table 'pf.violation' doesn't exist
MariaDB [pf]> desc security_event;

<snip>
The error in pfstats.log may just be cosmetic?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
Regards, Seb
