Hi Pascal, thanks for looking into this! The /etc/my.cnf file on opensuse 11.2 contains the following socket:
# The following options will be passed to all MySQL clients [client] #password = your_password port = 3306 socket = /var/run/mysql/mysql.sock I just installed the kde3-amarok-packman package from the new kde3-packman repository. Please note that when selecting the meta-package i had to ignore a dependency for amarok-engine in order to install it. cheers, Sebastian Am 24.11.2009 09:11, schrieb Pascal Bleser: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > On 11/23/2009 03:51 PM, Sebastian Peters wrote: > >> can you please create amarok 1.4 packets for the newest opensuse >> version? the amarok 1.4 from opensuse kde backports repository fails to >> offer mysql connection :( >> > http://dev-loki.blogspot.com/2009/11/packman-repository-for-kde3-on-opensuse.html > > But I heard there might be a problem with the location of the MySQL > socket, that has changed on 11.2. > Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to install 11.2 anywhere yet. > > Could you please let me know where the mysql.sock is on 11.2 ? > That way I can patch our kde3-amarok package. > > cheers > - -- > -o) Pascal Bleser http://linux01.gwdg.de/~pbleser/ > /\\ <[email protected]> <[email protected]> > _\_v The more things change, the more they stay insane. > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) > > iD8DBQFLC5Uur3NMWliFcXcRAsjGAKCJ8x0yjq4OGWTzfGxdIDzl2tV06ACfYFxo > rZ9sM5T2dAll3Rd6Ca2Qim4= > =Bs/0 > -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- > _______________________________________________ Packman mailing list [email protected] http://lists.links2linux.de/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/packman
