Do you think the vercmp patch should be within the pacman branch? http://repos.archlinux.org/wsvn/packages/pacman/trunk/vercmp.patch (This makes vercmp independent of other libs so it wont break during a transaction) I have heard Dan wanted to implement a more elegant way without code duplication.
