A short time after setting up the padre-dev list I though I should have started with the padre-users list first. The reason is inertia.
Then i left it as it was due to the special case in Padre in which most of our users are developers. Even if not Padre developers. Yet. In a project where most of the users are very different from the developer it is probably better to start with the user list and when there is to much non-development related talk on the list then the fewer developers can go and create their own list. It would be much harder to direct the non-developers to us a separate list. But Padre is special. :) We would like to embrace all our users to become developers in the project. So at least for now I'd like to keep it one discussion list and as Oren already mentioned we have an announcement list.
