Sure - not only that but AFAIK none of these things have any published design to speak of. Swarm server code is closed at present. I believe that popularity contest was HTTP based. Config sync ? This could be anything I guess.
What appears to be missing for me is any kind of rational identity management to hang the rest of this 'Madre' stuff off.
