I hope some day the Map, digital or satelite Map of Padang and West Sumatera will exist and accessible before the disaster comes to that area. From the email and cellphone sms I got the impression that the people of Padang, West Sumatra are really panic about the news and the possible big quake and tsunami around Mentawai Islands that might hit Padang and Sumatera's West Coast.

I am from West Sumatra, Indonesia, live in Santa Cruz, California, USA. I have good access to the internet. I enjoy maps in my life. But when the Acheh Earthquake and Tsunami and the Nias Earthaquake I really appreciate your source of detailed maps especially regarding the disaster areas. I've just seen and downloaded for my PC the map of Nias Island. I informed my people in the mailing list about your site. I appreciate your effort very much.
People from West Sumatra are worried about the next Big Quake and Tsunami might strike their areav after those hundreds of quakes in that West Coast of Sumatra for the last three months. I'm wondering if you have the detailed Satelite Map of West Sumatera (Sumatera Barat) both population and elvation with a detailed Map of Padang dan Bukittinggi Areas? Or moreover if you also have the extended map of former Central Sumatera Province (which now devided to West Sumatra and Jambi).
If you do would you kindly refer me to the website? If you don't, is it possible to guide me to other site or aslo is it possible to have it in the future, before the disaster might strike that area? Thank you very much.
