INFORMATION ON SOURCE EARTHQUAKE

The tremors felt in Singapore at 01:06 p.m. on 14 May 2005 were due to an earthquake that occurred in Northern Sumatra, approximately 500 km from Singapore. The magnitude of the earthquake is 6.9 on the Richter Scale. The epicentre is located at Latitude 0.6N and Longitude 98.3E.
