JAKARTA, Jan 17 (Bernama) -- There is strong rumour that the international magazine for men, Playboy, would be published in the Indonesian language for readers here this March but such a move received strong objections from various religious organisations in the country.
Indonesia Ulama Council (MUI) wanted the government, which had been actively combating what is being termed here as "pornography and pornoaction," to prohibit the publication of the magazine which is apparently pornographic in nature.
The government should act to prohibit such publication as it would only raise social opposition and lead to anarchy among those who objected, MUI Chief Ma'ruf Amin was quoted as saying by Antara news agency.
