Greetings-

A beta tester of our software has reported an occurence of:

"Invalid Handle" at line 3970 of MemoryMgrNew.c

When she tried to dismiss the dialog, the screen was locked out, and she had
to do a reset. She doesn't think that she did anything other than depress
the reset button, but somehow the device came up with the pen-alignment
screen, and all of the unit's data was gone. Although it is certainly
possible she did accidentally invoke a "hard" reset, she doesn't seem to
think that she did. Until I get more info, I have to operate under the
assumption that anything is possible.

Is there any known situation that would possibly cause the OS to decide that
things had really gone so bad that the best thing to do would be wipe
everything out? This strikes me as extremely unlikely, but I thought I'd
poll the greatest collection of Palm programming minds on the planet to
verify... :)

Thanks for any reassurances or dire warnings,
Eric
