I'm not sure if this is official, but I recall comments along the lines
that traps are sort of guaranteed not to be reused for one version: so the
1.0 traps are only guaranteed to stick around for OS 2.0. Of course, I'm
sure you'll try to keep backwards compatibility if you have the option.
