Is the time mentioned in the bounce messages correlated to time that the
digest was sent out? If so, you could, _in theory_, figure out who it is
by sending the digest out to half the list, waiting an hour, and sending
it out to the other half. Later, rinse, and repeat until the binary search
finds the culprit. (And if it doesn't, assume two culprits...) This
wouldn't be spam, 'cause its just the list.
In practice, I don't have enough time in my day to muck about with such
stuff, so I doubt you do.
Actually, I wouldn't call a single message sent to each subscriber spam,
as it _does_ have to do with the list, even if it is administrivia. Just
call it a very small digest. Unfortunately, I'm willing to bet that
anything smaller then 16K won't trigger the bounce message, and I'm not
sure our Bellsouth customer is actually paying attention to the list.
Aargh!
You might want to try just sending a message to the list subject
"Attention somebody with a RIM pager"...
