this is exactly the same problem that one of my users reported to me. Reset
dialog, and then continuous PalmIII screen, after installing the IR
enhancement and the new MacPak.
by the way, another user complained about my app crashing. it turned out he
was using the beta MacPak2 and he sent me his database and it was corrupted
in the header area. the contents of all the records were intact, but using
a hex viewer, i was able to discover that the AppInfo block and the record
headers at the beginning of the PDB were pretty badly damaged. i fixed them
by hand and verified the database worked with my app in POSE, verified that
Windows HotSync worked on it, and e-mailed it back to him. the Mac HotSync
corrupted it again. i advised him to send the info to Palm, and he said he
would do so.
