connect to MS Access problem

Good Afternoon.  This is my first posting to this list,
and I hope you will be able to help me.

I recently began support for a small company who
uses a Palm application.  They are in a windows NT 
environment, and are using the Palm III.  
The person who developed the conduit which connects the
palm with an Access database will no longer support this 
organization, so unfortunately, I am alone in this...

Basically, when I install the Palm Pilot software to a 
new PC, I can install the PRC file onto the Palm pilot, 
and the registry shows correctly where to go to connect to the 
Access Database.  However, the data connection is never initialized.

I know I am missing something, perhaps an ODBC configuration...
Can someone give me some tips on where to look to solve this problem?
I would greatly appreciate it.
