A number of us here at Palm have a wonderful solution to your awkward reset
problem. I think Bob came up with the original idea for this handy reset
device.
Step 1:
Bend the middle out of a paper clip so that it looks like this:

Step 2: Tape it onto the back of your Palm device with the bottom
protruding bit stuck in the reset hole on the back, and adjust its height
so it will reset the unit when you press the top of the triangle shaped
part.
Voila!! You're done. Now all you have to do to reset your unit is reach
behind and squeeze the top of the paperclip!! It doesn't get any easier
than this.
Warning: Be careful when using this technique on a pre-Palm III device
because the reset hole is below the top of the cradle. This prevents the
unit from resting in the cradle securely, and can cause undesired resets
(usually at inopportune times).
Note: An enterprising developer could drill a hole at just the right spot
on the back of the cradle, and attach a permanant reset device to it. This
way, whenever the Palm was cradled, it could be easily reset.
Hope this helps you as much as it has helped me... :-)
