I would like to create a specialized application that takes menu driven user
input and creates a standard memo or todo item. The purpose would be to
piggyback on the standard print, synchronization, and archiving features of
the Palm Desktop software. I figure this would be much more simple than
writing a conduit, etc.

This would seem to be very secure in terms of archiving and guarantee
compatibility with multiple desktop platforms and network configurations as
the output would be no different than any memo or todo item.

What are the downsides? Is this bad form? How easy would it be to
accidentally screw up a user's todo and menu lists?

Thanks
