We've got 2 Symbol SPT1500's that appear to be having problems.
#1. Emitting a low buzzing sound. Appears that the back light is on (very
faintly). The screen is blank. Does not respond to a soft reset. Does not
respond to the power button.
#2. Responds to a soft reset, but gets the following error: "Memorymgrnew.c,
line 3970, invalid handle".
We cannot do a hard reset...both units contain valuable data that we need to
retrieve. Recreating this data would be very difficult and expensive. Is
there any way to retrieve the data? I am aware of the soft reset + up arrow
that might work for #2, but I've had conflicting information on whether or
not data stored in databases will be erased. Without sure knowledge one way
or another I didn't want to do this.
Is there any way to get to this data?
