Thanks Keith and Scott! The work-around (of course) worked! I'm still a little curious about why I had to *add* something to the registry when what I was trying to do was remove any reference that POSE had ever been on the system. (Like the very first time POSE ran; it didn't have the empty MRU problem.) I don't actually need an explanation. I'll just look forward to the next POSE release. Thanks Keith.
