Of course it's -possible- ... but whether
it's worth it or not ... is PDF really your
only ption? Especially since you yourself
charactarize them as "text based"?
You could process them through Adobe's e-mail
PDF->HTML converter and then load them on the
Palm. I even think Adobe has an e-mail PDF->TEXT
converter.
