I just figured it out.
In the metrowerks compiler I did not have a Application Database name
entered so
it defaults to your filename. So the two versions of the app had different
database names
and the same crID
I simply entered the DataBase name as the same value for both versions of
the app and
now if installs fine.

OK I found out why my #ifdef REGISTERED was not working. It was working but
my app
install was not.
Here is the problem.
I compile two versions of my app.
AppReg.prc 9K
AppUnReg.prc 9K
If install AppUnReg.prc and check it's size in the AppLauncher it's 9k and
running the app reveals the unregistered app.
If I than install AppReg.prc and check it's size in the AppLauncher it's 17k
(both are installed) and running the app still reveals the unregistered app.
If I delete the app and reinstall AppReg.prc then the size is 9K and the app
is the correct Registered app.
Finally I decided there was a problem because of the two different names so
I tried
naming them the same and the same tests revealed the same results.
Does anyone know what could cause this to happen ?
