This may not be very helpful, but it should work as a last resort. You can
pick a telephone number of 00 and then issue all of your AT commands via the
script. I know I have to use that trick with my MobileAccess CDPD phone
because I have to at!cdpd as the first command.
I don't have a Palm V though, so they may have another option to keep it from
sending those hard-coded init strings.
