I like the idea of having a short footer to commonly referred to
resources.
The monthly mailing is all too easily skimmed and deleted. Newbies,
unaware that another mailing will arrive in a month, or unable to deal
with the volume of mail, post to the entire list about unsubscribing.
Some newbies actually read the monthly mailing but put "unsubscribe" in
the body of the text rather than the subject. Murphy's law...

Experienced posters usually cut and paste context rather than re-post
the entire thread.
