Palm Client/Server Communication

Hi everyone,

I'd like to develop a C++ client program on the Palm and a corresponding
server application on MS Windows (NT/95).
  Currently, I'm working with MS DCOM and CORBA. I've read about
the MICO implementation for Palm, but it doesn't seem to work properly
at the current stage.
  So which network communication mechanisms could I use for this? 
I'd appreciate getting some sample code from you describing network
communication realised on the Palm.
