To bring this back on-topic, I'm reminded of a reported Jeff Hawkins quote: "It's not for you dummy.". He allegedly said this to a programmer who wanted to add some nifty feature which would not be intuitive for the average customer. I don't care to be called a dummy or buy products for dummys; but if I know IDG had millions of happy customers willing to pay good money for some of my knowledge, I would be glad to author an "xyz for Dummies"(tm) book. Same with designing PalmOS software; sometimes I design in features (that I thinks are silly for my own use) because customers request them or because it seems to make sense for a large class of of customers (just not me). -- Ron Nicholson HotPaw software
