I've addressed a similar issue by using buttons at the top of the form with
a rectangular frame. Each button corresponds to a different screen of
information, and the selected button has the text changed to bold. The
effect is much like a 'Tab' control, and works quite well for quickly
switching between pages of data entry screens.

(Actually, I used a different form for each 'Tab', and just call the
appropriate form when a button is pressed)

The 'Zen of Pilot' may not quite work this way, but then again, a 160x160
screen wasn't really designed for heavy-duty data entry.

Good luck. Let us know what you end up doing!

Subject: Displaying large amounts of information

We have a windows program that uses a tab control to display a large
amount of information. The top half of the screen displays the main
record, while the bottom half is a tab control where each tab displays a
detail record. There is 4 or 5 detail records (tabs) for each main
record.

I am porting the app to the pilot.

What is the best way to display large amounts of data on the Palm?
Is there a tab control available for the Palm? I have LaunchPad source
and can customize it, if that is the best.

Thanks
Todd
